General Public Prosecution
THE GENERAL PUBLIC PROSECUTION

In the General Public Prosecution, the public-prosecutorial function is performed by the Prosecutor General and the public prosecutors of the General Public Prosecution (for whom 15 work-places are being systematized). The prosecutorial staff consists of advisors in the public prosecution and the employees who are in charge of administrative-technical operations, material -financial operations, accounting, IT and general administrative services.

The work of the General Public Prosecution is led by the Prosecutor General, who represents this institution before other authorities, institutions and citizens. The Prosecutor General manages the prosecutorial administration, oversees the work of the Departments, the General Affairs Service and the Secretariat, monitors the work of this public prosecution office as a whole and the individual performance of the public prosecutors and the employees and undertakes the measures to ensure that the operations of the General Public Prosecution are carried out properly, timely and efficiently. The Heads of the Departments, the Secretary and the Head of the General Affairs Service ensure that the operations of the Departments, the Cabinet of the Prosecutor General, the Secretariat and the General Affairs Service are conducted in a legal and timely manner, efficiently, properly, without irregularities and uniformly.

In the General Public Prosecution Office, the following organisational units are being established, according to the type, scope and complexity of the operations, as well as the need for the legal, prompt and efficient work: the Cabinet of the Prosecutor General, the Departments, the Secretariat and the General Affairs Service. For the purpose of performing the operations within the competence of the General Public Prosecution, 21 work places are systematized by the job classification with 28 employees.
